I really like the new Lexus RC F. What's not to like, it has a great interior, looks very good, and a 5.0 liter engine with 450 hp and 383 lb.-ft. of torque powering the rear wheels. But there is only gripe about it, and that is NO MANUČL TRANSMISSION. If it had one I would buy it over an M4, because NA V8>Turbo I6. Try again Japan.

IMO, the lines are either too choppy, too smooth or a little of both. Plus the predator grill needs to go.

The lack of manual does concern me even more though.

8 speed > 6 speed. It's also faster. Some cars are simply better with ZF's brilliant 8 speed box. This is one of them.

I wanted to like this car SO much. I was so excited for it. But It's just too heavy! I don't like the M4 either. I'd have a hard time deciding between the two.

I think it's brilliant. And lack of manual is no biggie when you have paddle shifters. Plus manually shifting constantly through 8 gears?

I've driven the well known ZF 8 Speed, and it is very fast, but I don't care. Where is the fun in moving one finger to change gear? I like the procedure that is changing a gear manually with a manual transmission. It is so much fun, even in traffic. Heel and toe all the downshifts and have a blast.

As far as I know, all the current V8 american muscle cars are offered with a manual transmission in all of their versions, with exception of the drag cars.

Multiply by 2.2...so 1500 kg is 3300 lbs, 1600 is 3520, and even though numbers should stop there, 1800 kg is ~4000 lbs (3960).

Man it sucks but we cannot just overlook cars when they have no manual because less and less cars are being made with manuals now, especially at lower production volumes. The realistic way to approach this I think is look for those with semiautos so you can atleast pretend you're rowing when you're flicking :D And I think most performance cars are coming with autos with some sort of manual mode?

I saw this car in person for the first time, however from the 16th floor of the apartment...was in a sort of metallic cherry red colour that was just WOW it looked so strong and luscious and ... things they boast about when they market lipsticks (sorry but this is the first thing that came to mind and it's all positive :D)

I really like the RC F. But I just cannot bring myself to wanting an automatic (it is not DCT) when there are other V8 alternatives like the GT500 and the Corvette that come with a stick, or the M4 with a turbo I6.

I have to agree with you, though. I wanted to like this car, but the lack of a manual transmission and the assist overload makes me dislike this car.
